As usual when he's caught red-handed, Larry Parr tries the semantic
angle, hoping he can get away with redefining the offense so that he
appears not to be guilty of it. First he said he never did any
mud-slinging or name-calling. It was shown that he did both. Then it
was just that he did no name-calling. It was shown that he did. Now he
says it's that he does no "filthy" name-calling.
While Parr, unlike Houlsby, seldom if ever employs overt profanity,
his posts are rife with insult. To illustrate, I reprise my post of
yesterday:

Ahem, Larry -- as Mr. Houlsby is wont to ask, "Can you read?" A good
many examples of both name-calling and mud-slinging have been adduced
by the above "trio." Of both names and mud there is yet plentiful
supply, especially if we include your frequent use of insulting
adjectives rather than just nouns, as well as your practice of
belittling nicknames, in the style of President Bush, and your frequent
use of belittlement in general (e.g. "twinkling little petootie").
Now, I do not say at all that no one employs name-calling or
mud-slinging toward you. Many have. But for Parr to pose as a paragon
of parliamentary propriety is preposterous. A few more cases in point,
all from Parr posts on rgcp:
"This toady of the establishment" -- rec.games.chess.politics - May 1

"Lawyer Dondo is in a tizzy" -- rgcp, May 4 2005, 9:05 am
"The Historian is different. He evidently drools -- moisture of the
printed word! -- over what he has never had. You can see the slime on
his words." rgcp, Aug 1 2003, 12:29 am
"George: you are politically in tune, I believe, with a couple of
total slime balls whom you would not so describe." -- rgcp, Aug 1 2002,

"Sometimes the man writes like a silly-billy." -- rgcp May 6, 12:35 am
"From IM Watson: Stupid Silence ... From IM Watson: Stupid Silence." --

"Is Mr. Booz as stunningly stupid as his writing would suggest?" --

"Stan Booz has managed to get something right, but he ruined the effect
by stating his position as a moron might. Indeed, in my view, as a
moron did." -- rgcp, Apr 23 2005, 2:18 am

What a crock! When has Parr ever directly answered any Blair
question? Dr. Blair has a knack for finding quotes which catch Parr in
self-contradiction, if not outright hypocrisy and mendacity. No wonder
Larry doesn't like to answer his questions.
