Another false statement by Larry Parr.
What I actually wrote was:
_
"Since Larry Parr claims to have
known about the 1991 Botvinnik
Stalin-proposal comment as early
as 1994, it is natural to see if
Larry Parr passed that information
on to someone who could confirm
receiving it before 1998. Apparently,
Larry Parr does not want to claim
that GM Evans is such a person"

_
Larry Parr's evidence consists of him
asserting that it is "obvious".

_
I can not be expected to acknowledge
an answer as "satisfactory" when I do
not know whether or not it is true. As
for stating the intent to ask another
question, I see no reason to do so.
People can see that I am asking another
question without me stating that I am
doing so.

"Before 2000/01/17, Larry Parr

a large number of notes on the
subject." (29 May 2005

_
I am not using the word "write" in the
sense of publication. There are other
senses of the word, as any dictionary
will confirm. I am using the word
"write" in the same sense that Larry
Parr used the word "wrote" in this
sentence:
_
"I wrote about Sam Sloan in the
context of Don Aldrich and ..."

_
The central issue is not the term to
be used for what Larry Parr does
when he produces the notes that
he posts here. The central issue
is:
_
A search for Larry Parr notes that mention
Keres, Botvinnik, and 1991 produced
nothing earlier than 2000/01/17.
_
A search for Larry Parr notes that mention
Keres, Botvinnik, and Sosonko produced
nothing earlier than 2000/01/17.
_
A search for Larry Parr notes that mention
Keres, Botvinnik, and Pam produced
nothing earlier than 2000/01/17
_
A search for Larry Parr notes that mention
Keres, Botvinnik, and Whyld produced
nothing earlier than 17 Jun 2001
02:11:29 GMT.
_
Does Larry Parr have any explanation
for this?

Thanks to my asking of questions, Larry
Parr has been persuaded to discuss
WHEN he told GM Evans about the
Botvinnik reference to the Stalin proposal.
Now, we have all seen that Larry Parr
doesn't even claim that this happened
before the year 2000. I think that was
worthwhile.
_
Another matter that is still pending:
_
"Larry Evans' account of his
conversation with Ken Whyld
remains unshaken" - Larry Parr
(29 May 2005 09:52:22 -0700)
_
"What Larry Evans account?"
- Louis Blair (29 May 2005
11:24:22 -0700)
_
Larry Parr quietly drops his claim that
I tried "to equate" Larry Parr's "responsibility
with that of a chess person who writes a
six page article for Chess Life." I guess
that is the closest we are going to get
to seeing a retraction and an apology from
Larry Parr.
