Actually you have rather a narrow window here, Larry. You claim to
have learned of the Botvinnik interview in 1994 (month?). You claim
that you told Evans of it before his 10/1996 CL article, despite the
fact that he completely failed to mention it there. So depending on
what month in 1994 you learned of it, and what month Evans actually
finished his article (obviously well before 10/1996), there is a window
of about two years, give or take a few months, conceivably as narrow as
18 months.

Mr. Parr is evidently unaware of Dr. Blair's considerable writing and
research on the subject of Paul Morphy, and his controversy of many
years running with Ken Whyld on that subject. And his "Chess Notes"
contributions are actually quite readable and interesting.
My, my, Larry, such negligence. All you had to do was get on the horn
with a few people to find out what is common knowledge in the chess
fraternity. I have known about it for years.
