Using Google just now, I found the website for the Nashville
Tennessean, and then using the search feature of that website, I found
an article dated today (4/11) about the supernationals.

Are there other newspapers in the city? I didn't find any, but I'm not
there, of course. If there are, check 'em out.

I was a volunteer last April at the National Elementary in Pittsburgh,
and I agree with you 100% about the excitement.

Some of the other contributors to this thread don't seem to realize
just how strong these national scholastics are. That was my biggest
learning experience last year. Anyone who thinks scholastic chess is
just "a bunch of 900 players hanging queens to each other" should check
the crosstables. Nothing short of amazing.
