Thanks for the explanation. I am curious as to whether the bonus point
concept is valid for active scholastic players. I looked at a sample
of results and found that bonus points were earned in around 40%
of performances. This looks more like random fluctuation to me.

It also doesn't make intuitive sense for the bonus threshold to be
independent of the player's K-constant. If K is 50 and the threshold
is 22, you're talking about awarding bonus points for pretty common
performances.
