If this means keeping an eye out for actions which may inadvertently be
contrary to bylaws or delegate motions, then I'm all for it. A recent
example of such an action seems to be the scheduling of rounds at the U.S.
Open.
A committee of one might suffice (and, in fact, be optimal). Perhaps,
George, you could make this task one of your primary functions when you join
the EB.

That's what I have in mind.

I would prefer it if a non-board person handled this; although, I am
very willing to do the work.

With you on the EB, the EB would have, in effect, a one-person compliance
committee, whether the EB voted to have such a committee or not. Sort of a
self-fulfilling prophecy.

| Bill,
You are most likely right, but I would prefer a governance system that
does not depend on a single person. Compliance is important. I'd
prefer that this important function not be handled by a single
individual, especially one who is tasked, along the rest of the
Executive Board, with setting policy, the supervision of the Executive
Director, etc.
That said, if elected, I would be pleased to be the EB liaison to this
committee should the Executive Board or Board of Delegates decide we
should have one.
Best regards,
George John
