Dear George John,

We still do not have the detailed cost estimates of the move to
Cross-to-Bear.

You remember those estimates?

Tim Hanke was going to give them to the MEMBERS last January.
They never appeared, and Randy Bauer, our truthspeaker who can't keep
his stories straight over a matter of months, said he couldn't provide
the suppressed numbers because he had to consult with Tim Hanke and
Beatriz Marinello, though it was Mr. Bauer and others with whom Tim was
going to consult some two months ago.

Oh well, we don't call that honesty. We call it the runaround.
Perhaps you do also?

George, how are you?

Elsewhere you speak of a need for civility in discussion of
issues. Just wondering where you stand on the excremental effusions of
Stan Booz.

If you require a memory-refresher, I could flush up a few dozen.
If not, I am wondering whether you agree with Randy Bauer, who is
running on the same ticket as yourself, that Mr. Booz is merely a
version of Harry Truman. And, to be fair to Mr. Bauer, perhaps he
meant to write a dumbed-down version of Give 'em Hell Harry. Or do you
regard Mr. Booz as our most conspicuous vulgarian at the gate?

I hope and trust you have not decided that the quoted bit from
the Federation's lawyer is good enough to pass off as your White Paper
about the move to Cross-to-Bear.

Don Schultz speaks of paying $500 a month to store some records
in Crossville when there was plenty of room to keep them in New Windsor
without relocating. We were told of a parking problem after nearly half
the staff was laid off.If anyone believes that, I have a bridge for
sale. And if a 12,000 square foot building was too big for the needs of
the USCF after disposing of B&E, why couldn't the excess space be
rented to bring in an income? Surely $80,000 to renovate the building
was far less costly than moving to Cross-to-Bear.

Meanwhile on the transparency front, I trust you are curious to
know whether Harry Sabine knew of the $60,000 fee for Phil Elmore and
kept his mouth quiet about the matter after reviewing the contract?
Shouldn't the members know whether the friend of a local architect
vetted a dirty contract?

Or are these questions best left unanswered to the membership?
