MOLES
<In other words, Larry Parr just wants another mole on the Board, there
to feed him whatever inside information Larry wants and needs.> --
Randy Bauer
In a properly run organization there would be no need for moles
because financial data would be available for all members to see as a
matter of course.
PHEW!
Randy Bauer also writes, "I wouldn't call Larry Parr an
independent commentator. In fact, I've labeled him a Sloanista, along
with, of course, Sam Sloan. I have suggested rejecting the Sloanistas
and sticking with the incumbants. That's the only commentary I've
made."
"The only commentary" that Mr. Bauer made? Phew!
Mr. Bauer began with this smear, "If you want an honest,
credible budget and a decent shot at maintaining budget surpluses,
stick with the incumbents, not the Sloanistas."
Mr. Bauer began by lying that he had not meant to include Greg
Shahade among the "Sloanistas." He compounded the lie by calling Mr.
Sloan a "Sloanista" and he continues with that imbecilic line. We all
know that the "ista" suffix refers to supports, admirers, followers of
a given person. Hence Fidelistas are not Fidel, but admirers. Hence
Sandinistas are not Sandino, but admirers. His most recent account is
that candidates (which ones?) are lumped together with those sharing
their views.
So, then, which candidates were lumped together by Mr. Bauer?
He refuses to tell us. He wrote in the plural. So is it Shahade,
Goichberg, Channing and Tanner or merely two of the four?
As for Mr. Bauer's attempt to suggest that he was speaking
about yours truly when talking about keeping a credible budget and a
surprlus, the claim is laughable. I am running for nothing, I am far
away, and I am obviously NOT the alternative to his "incumbants [sic]."
The alternatives are Shahade, Goichberg, Channing and Tanner. They
are the ones threatening to produce a dishonest, incredible budget,
etc.
Amazing stuff from Mr. Bauer. He has told you that you
MEMBERS cannot have the detailed cost estimates of the move to
Cross-to-Bear because I am a non-member and a dirt farmer. You MEMBERS
cannot know about Harry Sabine and his relationship with Famished Phil
Elmore, the $60,000 man, because I am a non-member and a dirt farmer.
And now, he wants you to know that he was not referring to opposition
EB candidates threatening a honest, credible budget. Not at all. He
was talking about yours truly again.
This guy cannot possibly believe what he writes. He is a
politicized liar clear through. Period.
<Were you to have the power to do so, would you (Larry Parr) hire
Sam Sloan for an executive position ... say, with The World Chess
Network?> -- Tom Klem
Mr. Klem certainly has more wit than Mr. Bauer.
No, Tom, I would not hire Sam to be an executive at WCN, if
such were my decision. But I would vote for him to serve on the USCF
Executive Board to control the pond life there. I know that you detest
Sam but, of all people, you ought to see the wisdom of transparency in
USCF affairs.
I also would vote for Tom Dorsch, if he were running, to sit on
the same Board with Sam. At least it would reduce the culture of
secrecy.
<I very much agree with Randy that all motions of the Board of
Delegates should be followed. That is on reason why I have previously
called for a Compliance Committee, composed of volunteers and/or
professional staff, which *assists* in helping those who must follow
these motions, with the goal of reducing unintended violations.> --
George John
A compliance committee composed of and appointed by the very same
people -- or persons similar to them -- who provided $60,000 in
annualized "expenses" to "volunteer" Beatriz Marinello as executive
director. The same political culture that defined "no pay" to mean
"pay" for Bill Goichberg.
Righto.
