I've seen various figures but not necessarily broken down by each fiscal year.
The information on the USCF's website is not very useful for back years, as it
is not clear if the numbers are the Audited version.

Just about every successful organization has a "dashboard" of key information
that the Executive Board and Executive Director can consult to compare present
and past performance. For the USCF, at the very least, I would suggest this
would include monthly cashflows, the quarterly budget to actuals, the annual
audited financial statements, membership numbers, tournament and other revenue,
advertising revenue, number of rated games, and something that tracks customer
inquiries and resolution of those issues.

In my "organization" (the government of the State of Iowa), we provide this sort
of information no a bi-weekly basis to the Governor and Lt. Governor and their
chief of staff. Some of it is updated bi-weekly, some monthly, some quarterly,
depending on the specific information, but the formal structure is in place to
measure and report it -- I definitely agree that you can't manage what you can't
measure.
