If Kevin's account is correct, there might not be any discontinuities
for those players whose ratings were corrected in 1999. Their ratings
would have been adjusted to offset the effect of the twenty-two bogus
events, and the discontinuties would have existed with respect to those
events and might have disappeared once they were expunged in 2004. For
Kevin and his son, whose ratings were not adjusted in 1999, the
discontinuities appeared when the bogus events were deleted.
