Events are deleted all the time, for a variety of reasons. Last summer
we found several dozen events that had gotten rated more than once, some
because of processing errors at the office, others because they were
submitted more than once by a TD who thought that if he didn't get the
rating report back in a few weeks that was the best way to get the event
rated. One event was submitted under three somewhat different names,
I was never sure if that was an attempt to manipulate the system or just
another case of an overactive TD.
The new ratings system performs several checks to look for suspicious
or duplicated events.
