| Currently there is a tournament that has been advertised in the
December and January chess life for the Jan 29th weekend with a 700$
prize fund. This tournament has been canceled - yet it was canceled
AFTER the January chess life was sent out. We could have people
driving hundreds of miles from Texas, Kansas, and Arkansas only to have
them get there and have no tournament! Something has to be done!
The state Charter group needs to be reselected by the USCF, and an
Official clearinghouse for tournaments in the state needs to be set up.
The current OCA needs to be defunct.

And the sponsoring affiliate was ....?
