I'm not sure that the ICA gets nothing now. The ICA seems to get
decent scholastic participation in events like the Illinois Open and
Illinois Class. Many clubs also draw a fair number of kids. I
suspect that some scholastic parents and coaches might be less
supportive of these events if they felt the ICA was trying to squeeze
them.

It seems to me that scholastic and high school organizers already
organize things pretty much on their own. The question is whether they
would require all participants in their tournaments to join the ICA in
order to keep the ICA's impramatur.

I think it goes back to your point that many scholastic players
participate for different reasons, which in turn creates a different
pricing dynamic.
