I re-titled this thread. I think that the Chess Life magazine is being
underutilized as a potential tool to market the game of chess and the
USCF. I think there should be an attempt made to make the magazine
"friendlier" to the novice player. Prehaps a larger section of puzzles
with the solution on the reverse of the page,graphically illustrated.
Perhaps an historical biography section that would humanize former
world champions and great players.
If we could make the magazine interesting for even a non chess player
to read, then I think it could not only become a fine marketing tool
for the USCF and chess ;but a profit center as well.
