I note many don't know who Joel Channing is. Joel is a Trustee for the US Chess
Trust. He has a very impressive resume, Chairman of the Board of a sizable
corporation. He will have a wide listing of endorsements from Grandmasters and
leading chess luminaries both at the scholastic level and at the professional
player level and those endorsements will cross political boundaries.

We have many good candidates. I believe all but 2 will be at the Amateur Team
East so maybe we can arrnage a Q and A forum there for the voters get to know
the candidates better and how about an online chat Internet debate among all
the candidates?.

I predict a very intensive and positive campaign and more than double the votes
ever before received.

So, if we don't play nice, then OMOV doesn't work? Is that how it is with
you?

People don't fall into line with your will, and you make a veiled threat to
OMOV, as if to say (and you probably could) that you will eliminate OMOV if
you're not happy with rgcp????

Gee, I wonder who those luminaries might be. In any event, this strikes me
as an anti-recommendation, since Grandmasters generally don't know their XXX
from a hole in the ground in any matters not having to do with opening
theory. As for luminaries, if that's people like Chessdon, I think we've all
had enough of them. Retire, please.

Retire? You're kidding of course. Don has too many books to write, too
many awards to give to his buddies, and too long a nose to retire.

Besides, the USCF has a million in the bank again.
