I might add here that the transfer of wealth hasn't failed Mensa. One of the
fundamental strengths of Mensa is that their HQ trusts its local chapters with
a proportional transfer of wealth.
Maybe you could suggest to Mensa that they stop funding their local chapters
because such a system "has failed many times before." Mensa HQ should keep all
their national dues and force their local chapters to go out on their own and
beg for operational money. That's the good old USCF way.. and we know where
that has taken us.
