I should correct this to the following extent. Einstein, who is
unimpeachable regarding his humanistic views, knew Lasker well in his
later years and read some his writings, and Einstein respected L. not
simply as a chess player. From this you can conclude that in his old
age L. was not an overt racist and that his general view of the world
made sense.
