Nick stands corrected, but notes that Louis Blair is a died-in-the-wool
nitpicker, equivalent in rank to a Field Marshall and Prime Minister, rolled
into one.




BTW, 'continuing' may denote persistence, as over the course of time.
'Sporadic' is not necessarily in conflict with 'persistence,' so long as the
periodic interuptions are not *permanent* in nature.
