I did *not* write an assertion that "people were really obliged to be
as 'useful' as possible at all times".

I shall refer Louis Blair to what I have written in an earlier post to
him:

"I have no objection 'in principle (against) participating in a
RGCP discussion of whether or not Lasker was racist'." --Nick
(The words beginning with 'in principle...' were Louis Blair's.)
