Ratings are *relative* measures of strength. You cannot assume that
Standard and Blitz ratings have the same mean. There are lots of
reasons why the average rating of particular population may drift.
One of the more obvious effects is that novices will prefer slower
games *and* it is likely that most of those who quit after a short
while are weak players.
