There are nonprofits and then there are nonprofits. Fundraisers generally
work for charitable types. They use the lure of "tax-deductible donations"
to solicit funds. There is a lot of abuse here. Some take a big rake.
Others, like AF4C, siphon off a large part of the collected donations to
board members. Anyway, the USCF is not a charitable organization. Therefore
it is not possible to get tax-deductible donations for the overhead.
