NOLAN'S ABSURD ANALOGY
quote:

>Most governmental bodies have a sunshine law which requires that most

contracts be disclosed. There is no evidence that doing so saves the public
money. In fact there is evidence that bidders in general bid somewhat higher
on contracts where they know the contract will be disclosed publicly, if only
because they don't want their true bottom line price to be known to their
competitors.> -- Mike Nolan

<Come on Mike. Can't you stand up like a man just once. Must you always be bent
over kissing someone's behind. Are you truly making a case for darkness vs
sunshine? Is it really your argument that secrecy serves the public interest?
Your list of plausible excuses ranges wide and deep in your service to whomever
is in power.> -- Richard Peterson

Mike Nolan is indeed the house parliamentarian. I suppose most of you
can conceive the difference between government, which has no accountability for
a bottom line ruled by the discipline of profit, and the USCF which is part of
the private marketplace, though having not-for-status.

Mike's analogy is absurd on its face.

Sushine is indeed the best disinfectant. Its absence is still plaguing
the USCF as can be seen by the stonewalling exhibited on this forum by the
current board.
