"I believe that Sam Sloan is an honest person..."
--Jerzy Ciruk (3 May 2004, "Sam Sloan's 500 Words Candidate's Statement")
Jerzy Ciruk's continuing defence of Sam Sloan evidently reflects
his own judgment and character (or lack thereof).
Jerzy Ciruk's disingenuous trolling of writers as diverse as Pete Casso,
GM Mikhail Golubev, and me has been noted with disdain by some readers here.

As I recall, when I described Sam Sloan as dishonest, Jerzy Ciruk responded by
denouncing me and proclaiming that there's no evidence that Sloan's dishonest.
Then I did *not* feel obligated to reiterate the evidence already presented by
many other quite diverse writers here.

Yes, but Sam Sloan's far from being the only 'shameless bald-faced LIAR'
who writes in the chess newsgroups. Pathological lying seems common in
the chess newsgroups, particularly in rec.games.chess.politics.

Jerzy Ciruk's rubbish warrants no response beyond disdain.
"Sure, I take Sam Sloan as an honest man unlike anonymous 'honest' 'Nick'."
--Jerzy Ciruk (20 July 2004, in rec.games.chess.misc)
"Sam Sloan has more credibility as a journalist and as a man than any
anonymous coward like you 'Nick'."
--Jerzy Ciruk (24 September 2004)
Unlike Sam Sloan, I never have reported that Peter Leko was dead, and unlike
Sam Sloan (as far as I have heard about him), I have no criminal record in
any country.
