Seriously, Larry!!

There is plenty of speculation (and that's what it really is) about your
subject matter here on r.g.c.p., but not aprising newbies of the slant of
Sam's scuppers can only lead to some giving him credence where none is due.

Now that would be a pity, wouldn't it? Believing anything published by Sam
Sloan?

I wonder how the lawsuit is doing.

Did you ever think that Sam's entire purpose in bringing a lawsuit (and not
following through) was to give his cronies at USCF the excuse they need to
NOT discuss the subject? Then, it is just a simple matter of fiduciary
responsibility to "never discuss" publically matters under litigation.

If you really want openness in a public not for profit, you just better
elect people who are unvarnished truth sayers, and who can't be corrupted by
the notion of "you scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours" or to put it in
LBJ words, "Yah got to git along, to get along" or was that "get along to
git along". Oh well, South Texan aphorisms escape me most of the time
anyway, but the meaning is clear here. No one who gets on the board can
possibly expect to be effective without compromise. The very definition of
compromise, in my opinion, means that as time goes on you cannot govern, as
the difference between you and those who were diametrically opposed to you,
becomes to thin to even perceive.

So, the secret to good governance, is good people.

Good luck.
