| Petitions filed in US Supreme Court
I have filed two petitions for a Writ of Certiorari of the US Supreme
Court. I hope that case numbers will be assigned by the end of today.
I plan to file one more later today.
Both of the petitions I have filed seek to be reinstated on the ballot
as a candidate for US Congress for the Tenth Congressional District of
New York. I have also filed emergency motions seeking action by the
justices today.
The two cases I have filed are:
Samuel H. Sloan vs. Nero Graham et al, Petition for a Writ of
Certiorari to the Appellate Division - Second Department of the
Supreme Court of the State of New York. Leave to appeal was denied by
the New York Court of Appeals.
Samuel H. Sloan vs. Diane Haslett Rudiano et al, Petition for a Writ
of Certiorari to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second
Circuit. The Second Circuit denied my emergency motion to be
reinstated on the ballot at 4:55 PM yesterday, giving me time to
prepare and file a petition for certiorari later the same night.
I admit that my chances of winning a quick victory are not good. On
the other hand, it is said that hundreds of lawsuits will be filed
over the coming election. Mine might be the first to reach the US
Supreme Court.

| I just got back from the US Supreme Court the three petitions for a
writ of certiorari I filed. They mixed everything up. They mixed the
three petitions together and mixed up the papers, even though I had
sent them in seperate envelopes. They said that I had not included
documents which I had included. They said that they were sending me a
form to fill out, but they did not send me that form. Most
importantly, the sent me by mistake a prisoner petition which they
intended to return to a prisoner in jail in Cumberland, Maryland. That
prisoner will probably be very angry when he finds out that the US
Supreme Court sent a document to me which they were supposed to send
to him. Fortunately, the prisoner, whose name is William K. Smith, is
only doing three years, not life or death. His petition is not very
good either. Perhaps I should re-write it. He was charged witgh
possession of weapons.
As soon as I can get the US Supreme Court on the phone I will try to
correct the problems and refile.

| Since several people have expressed interest in this, I will give you
his name and address on the petition:
William K. Smith
Reg. No. 44684-083
P.O. Box 1000-AA
FCI Cumberland
Cumberland, MD 21502-1000
I did not read the petition carefully at first. He was not sentenced
to only three years. He was sentenced to 262 months, with three years
suprevised release on each of two counts. He was convicted in the
Eastern District of Virginia of felon in possession of a firearm, 18
USC 922(g). He had been arrested in Alexandria, Virginia on July 7,
2000. He claims violations of his Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Amendment
Rights. He makes no mention of the Second Amendment.
His petition is better than I first concluded. His "Questions
Presented" section is weak, but the rest is well done.
Of course, I am going to send his petition to him and will not try to
re-write and re-file it.

| Why are you suing Marinello? Didn't she save the federation?
