| US Consul-General Edward McKeon's letter to R Fischer, dated 21 Sep

McKeon is Minister Counselor and Consul-General at the US embassy in

| Hope the hearing will be used by the US to 'discover' the improper due
process in the passport cancellation, which would release Fischer from
Japanese detention.

Hardly likely. At the most they'd revoke the passport again, dotting all the
i's and crossing all the t's properly the second time. It would clearly be
improper to let him keep it, which is what it would take to get him out of
detention.
