One kid I played with growing up used to use it.
Now I might start singing "You're gonna lose that girl" or just say "your
queen is hanging or "do I have the XXXXX?" if she's about to be trapped or
"I think I got the XXXXX" if she is. If she invades my territory alone, I
make references to the king sending his woman into a bad neighborhood all
alone and how that is not wise. Sometimes I use more vulgar language than
that seen here to do it.

In the Amateur Team a while back, I once said "I have mate in six!" as a
reaction to finding it (with the flu, no less), and a few people cackled,
perhaps wishing they had a chance to do it. I grew up reading "500 Master
Games Of Chess," about a time when it was common to do that, and even
considered part of the game.
