felt compelled to make light of my employer, and the state I live in, I
felt compelled to reply to that. I mentioned nothing of Nottingham
because it had nothing to do with what you were flinging my way,
although your Nottingham/Hastings argument is on the same level as most
of your arguments.
Your thoughts of me are not especially important to me, and I have no
real wish to discuss anything with you. You don't play fair; you simply
fling invective here and there and then accuse others of doing the
same. You refuse to admit any mistakes you have made, and blame them on
others. You harp on single incidents that may or may not have occurred
and dismiss any of your own silliness. You claim knowledge of things
you know nothing of; and when caught in lies, you backpedal. It is very
tiresome and unproductive. There are many here who actually care to
discuss chess matters, and I find that enjoyable even when I don't
agree with them. If your post contains no chess content, that's fine in
your eyes; when others do it, it is on the level of a mortal sin.
I know what my accomplishments inside and outside of chess are; unlike
some, I have no need to practice rating fakery and claim I was a 2450
nearly am IM and other such nonsense. I don't need to call someone a
facist, which is meaningless in the context of Internet posting.
However, when you denigrate an institution, and for that matter, an
entire state, for no other reason than you don't like someone from that
place, it belittles you more than it does that institution or that
state. It seemed important to point out that out; but now that I think
of it, it is pretty much obvious to everyone what your M.O. is and how
hollow your postings are.
You seem very angry that you cannot send me email. You certainly can;
my address is clearly posted, but I also throw out the trash, without
reading it, on a daily basis. Feel free then. It may be the very
therapy you need.
