Before trying a reinstall of XP:
- Look in Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs for SP2 and see if it can
be removed there. Also go to the Windows Update site and see if the
list of installed updates allows you to uninstall SP2.
- Use System Restore to go back to a date when the Zone worked. You'll
have to reinstall most software dated after that Restore point.
