| I would like to know what it takes to get someone banned
from msn. Or if its even possible. About a month ago,
someone decided they were going to start saying things to
me and about me in the lobby of the card table. At first
it made me angry cause it was all lies. Now it's just time
to put an end to it. About a week ago, this man threatened
to track me down and kill me. In those words exactly. In
the euchre card table lobby. With a plus there that, when
I zoned him and asked him to do something about this man,
he told me to ignore him and he would go away. Well, that
didn't work either. He comes into the zone with a very
similar nic as mine and zones people pretending to be me
and offers sexual favors and calls them names and so on.
Then when I log on again, I get all these zones from
people, sometimes very angry people. Several pluses have
warned him to back off of me. He gets away with calling me
vulgar names in the lobby. Frankly, I'm just plain tired
of all of this. I thought my only alternative would be to
change my nic, but why should I have to. I will if that's
the last alternative I have, but I really dont want to
change it. I have a lot of friends in the zone and I dont
feel I should have to change my nic and hide from this
guy. Everyone in the card table is just plain sick of his
vulgar, name calling, trashing comments in the lobby and
wish he wasn't there. I dont feel he should be if he's
threatening to track people down and kill them. I have the
conversation saved as proof. Along with some other zones
that he sent me before I could get him blocked. They are
threatening also.
I am open to ideas of how to get rid of this guy.
Serious ones. I have heard about all the joking I can
handle about this. I just want him to go away and leave me
alone. Thank you.

| No, you shouldn't have to change your nickname. However, it may just be
the best way.
He threatened to track you down, etc. Surely you haven't revealed where
you actually live. For safety's sake you should retain a degree of
anonymity on-line. If you have revealed any personal information it is
time to change the nickname you use. By continuing to use the same
nickname you are only inviting your harasser to continue.
Normally this kind of harassment is meant only to frighten. Well, he has
apparently succeeded. Changing your nickname and ignoring this person is
probably the best way to be able to continue to enjoy the games on the Zone
without fear.
Yes, you can and should e-mail your logs to zmaster@microsoft.com . If
there are numerous such e-mails about a particular zoner then the zmaster
can and will take action by banning that zoner. There are cheats that
allow a banned zoner to get around the ban, however, so even if he is
banned, you could still end up being harassed by him.
Remember, the Zone is a gaming site for fun. If the only way you can
continue to have fun is to change your nickname, then do so. It isn't
worth the effort to go on a witch-hunt to try to "get" this particular
zoner.

If you have reason to believe that he has obtained your real physical
location (for example, he has snail-mailed you or telephoned), immediately
contact your local police or the FBI. See

they can guide you through the steps needed to take action.
