After purchasing the game. i have attempted to install the game and run it.
However the executable loads into processes and stops. no errors are given.

tried so far

reinstall
full virus and disc scan
reinstall from safe mode
disabling hardware acceleration in both sound and video (as per knoledge
base)
verifying CD integrity
uninstall of dungeon siege 1.
full format of boot drive, reinstall of windows, SP2. DX9.0c and assosicated
drivers

after all this. i STILL get the same problem. when attempting to open the
executable, it briefly gives the hourglass wait, CD spins up. and then.
glorious nothing, with the executable showing in processes, but not
launching the application

thanks to the wonderful "international" support i am informed this game is
NOT supported in australia. (via webpage) , teh support key provided by the
installer comes up as an invalid product ID.

Try to install on any other machine. If it installs and runs, the problem
is with your machine/configuration. If it does not, then the two choices
are that indeed the CD is bad--take/send it back for replacement, or there
is factor with being 'Australian'. ;-)
