Need help with Direct X

| My computer wont let me play any games. every time i try
to load a game it brings up the message "a problem
occured intilizing Direct3d. Hardware acceleration maybe
diabled, pleas run DXDIAG" i checked the hardware
acceleration for directx and it is enabled but it still
wont work. if any one has any advice or ideas please
email me or post it. Thanx

| Did you run all the tests in DXDIAG?
What games are you trying to play and exactly what OS are you running.
Under XP you may need to run older games in compatibility mode.

| im tryin to play Halo and it brings up that message. I've
played it on this computer before and it worked fine. I
tried dowloading directx 9 to see if it would allow it to
work but it didnt, so i dont know what to do now.

| Sir,
go to -->" Display Properties"--> Settings--> advanced--> Trouble shoot -->
slide "Hardware acceleration" to FULL--> enable "write combining" --> apply,
OK
now install Direct X Again, this will fix your problem, also try in start
menu --> run command --> "dxdiag.exe" and perform direct x test for agp
acceleration and direct draw.
