Author Menu not responding in Rallisport Challenge

I can move up or down the menu with my mouse, but nothing happens when
I click it. So practically I cannot play this game. It used to work
before, but I don't know what has happened.

I know there was at least 1 more post about this issue before, but the
solution is not mentioned.

Any help will be highly appreciated

I got it. It's the multiple game controller issue. Once I removed the
other controller, it is working just fine.
