Blender instead of GMAX
|

| Given that GMAX does not come packaged with FS2004 (even though it is
advertised as such), and that GMAX was discontinued in Oct. 2005 in favour
of a commercial version I was wondering if anybody knows if it is possible
to use Blender (via some import/export) to edit the FS2004 aircrafts?
Thanks,
Emilio

| As far as I know, there is no other freeware tool that you can convert models
to/from FS2004 - it's Gmax or bust. Or you can by FlightSim Design Studio
(it's at version 3 now and very, very good).
Gmax is on the FS2004 CD's (Disc 1 I tink), registering is a problem but
there is a workaround for that on the simviation site (www.simviation.com) -
although I haven't tried it, seeing as how (through several mistakes, PC
formats and forgetfulness) I've ended up with several registration keys for
Gmax and havent used any... I hope they still work...
