It couldn't hurt to make sure the CPU and video accelerator chips are
running at a reasonable temperature. Both might run hotter while running
a demanding application with sophisticated graphics, which would include
the simulator. Many computer and motherboard manufacturers include
utilities for temperature monitoring on their installation CDs or
support web sites.
