Without more information, it's difficult to say precisely what could be
wrong with your system, but the troubleshooting tips in this article by
Microsoft apply to a whole lot of different possible causes. If you want
to cut straight to the chase, make sure you are running the latest video
card drivers and audio drivers for your system, and make sure you are
running Microsoft's DirectX version 9.0c. If those don't solve your
issue, then you can troubleshoot. Or you can troubleshoot first. Your
