Author Idea for a new game

I love Zoo Tycoon!! We have the expanded addition and me and my kids play
all the time.

Has anyone ever dreamed of being a cowboy? Of having a working cattle
ranch or a Registered Horse opperation? Where we come from all little boys
want to be cowboys and all the girls want to raise chichens and rabbits and
such.
What if you developed a game like Zoo Tycoon where you could buy land,
build a house, barns, bunkhouse, cookhouse and hire hands to work your ranch?
players could buy cattle, horses, pigs, sheep, chickens, any number of
barnyard animals, rabbits, ducks, hell, even ostritches!
You could farm a portion of your land for hay or grain, buy equipment
to do the job and pipe to irrigate it.
You need to be able to design your family, e.i. Mom, Dad, Brothers,
Sisters, each member would have to cost $$ per month (a big family costs more
than a small one) Dogs & cats to work the cows and sheep and to keep the
barn free of mice.
Zoo Tycoon already has a good design for a cowboy in the maintenance
worker, he just need jeans, boots and a western hat, Plus he/she needs to
ride a horse occationally, needs to learn to rope and learn about
environmental hazards and basic first aid.
Your zoo keeper would be the Veteranarian (again a small change in
attire).
Zoo Tycoon already has a design for a barn in their petting zoo, a
home design in their family restraunt, casa design in their prairie dog cafe.
It has horses, llamas, ostrich and bison. A good start for pigs in
warthogs, cows in water buffalo, goats & sheep in bighorn sheep. They have
rail fences, stables and outhouses.
You would need to create a calendar for stock sales, so players could
choose markets for their animals and hire a trucker to take your stock to
market - animals would need to be in top condition to bring top dollar. You
would need advertising to get the word out about your animals and you should
be able to choose a Brand for your Operation. If you can't grow enough hay
for the winter, you would have to buy it.
You could have different senarios, even one where you buy a ranch that's
going under and make it into a money maker. How about a paint horse
operation or breeding appaloosas? Herford cattle, angus cattle. How about a
dairy with hosteins or jerseys?

It's always been a dream of mine to own a working ranch. I think a
game like this would be fun and educational. Just like Zoo Tycoon.

What do you think?

Sounds like SimFarm. That game is about 10 years old by now.
