I am trying to install this product but absolutely nothing happens. My system
can't read the CD. I placed other cd's in the drive , they read just fine. I
have installed directx9, I have done everything I know to read and install
this cd. Any suggestions?

What CD?

From Flight Simulator X "System Requirements" on Microsoft's web site:
http://www.microsoft.com/games/pc/f...rx.aspx#sysreqs

"32x speed or faster DVD-ROM drive"

Sounds like the product's distribution is limited to DVDs. You would
need a DVD reader to load the software. Is that the type of optical
drive you are using? Is it 32X speed?

So you really haven't proven anything unless you try other DVDs in your
drive.

Look on the front of the drive.
Whatever type it is should be listed.
Also check the Device Manager.

Try a DVD movie in the drive.

Don't got one apparently. Tried a DVD did the same thing the FSX disc did.
Also look in the control panel. How much are these DVD drives? My computer
is pretty new so I am a little upset it doesn't have one.
