SQUARED OFF Waves in FS2004

| I just installed an ATI 9800 video card and frame rates in FS2004 are ~50-60
FPS with the scenery and terrain sliders maxed out. Awesome!
Problem now is that the waves against the shore no show up as squared off
(large pixilated) blocks and look anything but realistic.
How can I adjust this?

Silly question: Do you use the newest drivers for the ATI card? Most
problems come from outdated drivers...

| Brand new Catalyst 5.3 drivers are loaded. I thought the same thing and
checked again too.
