What if we have Ground Environment installed? Is it compatible?

No problem. GE and UT provide different features, and they don't
interfere with each other. The one thing you need to do, after you
install UT-E, is go back into the GE interface and install the special
UT Europe textures there. UT-E has a few specialized textures of its
own, and GE comes with a version of these that will blend with the
"normal" GE texture set.

In short:

Ground Environment (GE) = improved ground textures (for all areas)

Ultimate Terrain (UT) = more detailed roads, shorelines, rivers, night
lighting, landclass (for selected areas)
