Author FSPassengers and CTD's
SnakeEyes

Interestingly, on the FSPassengers forum, the author of the program,
Dan Steph, is defending it from users who think it's his program which
is causing so many CTD's.

He insists it's not his program but other add-ons which sim pilots have
installed.

You may find it fascinating to read the forum comments and see if any
make sense to you.
If so, let me know which one or two (or three) make the most sense.

Here is a link to the
forums.http://www.fspassengers.com/forum/list.php?f=2

I might add that the author is very conscientious about his work and
pays a great deal of attention to the users. Anyway, I'll let you
judge that for yourselves. The post about CTD's is the second one from
the top.

Once again, thanks to everyone here for their help : )

An extensive crash dump analysis will accurately determine who's to blame.
heh. ;)

not had one crash since FSP installed.... ive had rather random plane
crashes though, where the AP decides that flying level at FL350 is boring
and sticks it in a straight down dive just as the flight attendant brings in
my drink....

The problem is Snake that you can go to the forum for any add-on and get the
impression that everyone is having problems. I don't know how many users of
FSP there are but there must be thousands out there with no problems at all.
I think that many of us get the occasional crash of FS where the cause is
not obvious. The only way to prove it is to uninstall your add-ons one at a
time and see if it makes any difference - after you've followed the
suggestions from Dallas. Eventually you'll get there but for us to try and
be specific from a distance is nigh impossible. :0))

I've never had a CTD since installing FSP either.

I've also had no problems with FSP.
One of my favourite add-ons and perhaps one of the few to make you laugh.

Ditto to all your comments. Although I do wish the author would make some
upgrades to add a new feature or something.

Doesn't sound like much to me.

Thanks SE. I check the so called upgrade option on the FSPassenger menu
about once a week thinking . . . maybe today. That post was dated July 2005
and the first sentence states ". . . will post how the upgrade is going." ,
so work must be going r e a l l y s l o o o o w.
