The stock airport CJU4 in Saskatchewan has a beacon at the end of the
runway. I'm sure in real life it's not there and when I check the nav maps
its not either.

My questions is, how do I move the dumb thing?? I've tried everything know
to man, can someone please help me.

Thx

If it's a rotating beacon, then just push it over, and it should just roll
away!

Just a quote from AFCAD2 help:
---
Deleting a Navaid:

Select it with the mouse and press the Delete key. This only
applies to navaids that you have created, stock navaids cannot be
deleted. If you modified a stock navaid and you delete the mod then
it will revert back to the stock navaid. There is no apparent way
to ‘exclude’ stock navaids to remove them, you can only move or
modify them. To remove a navaid from service you could change its
frequency to an out-of-band frequency such as 0 MHz, but it will
still appear on the map.
---
Thus, there does not seem to be an easy way.

you could try downloading addon scenery to overwrite the airport. I
dont't know if there's a replacement for that particular airport. I
replaced NZCH Christchurch international because the stock fs2k2 one was
lame and stoopid. Try http://www.flightsim.com and they have a map look
up for addons.

The only way would be to find better more realistic scenery for that airport
(if any exist!) :0))

Yeah! You are such a regular poster here and so well trusted . . . NOT! I
believe I have seen your name here . . . NEVER. Why don't we all just copy
the attachment and screw up all of our systems.

Hohoho Danny, hold on before shooting at someone. There are
sufficient possibilities that you can check a single file online by
very different virus-scanners. That could give you most likely
sufficient knowledge whether this file might be infected or not. You
only have to use a mailer that does not execute anything attached.
That gives you the chance downloading such attachments without
opening them. Additionally it is highly recommended to use a user
profile having no right to run any active elements. Then a potential
virus could not do more than waiting for more privileged users
opening it.

Yeah, forgot to mention it. I replaced dozens of airports this way
but sometimes you have to do something yourself.

The beacon is not a Navaid so when I go into AFCAD it doesn't see it that's
the problem. I've moved PAPI I've installed parking spots etc but I can't
seem to find the software to move it. I've tried Runway 12 I've tried
Sbuilder etc... Still no luck.

Thx

OK Danny, I scanned it by using http://virusscan.jotti.org/ and it
seems to be clean (sometimes it's useful to wait a couple of days to
make scanner updates effective).

Use Airport (freeware) to remove it by creating an exclude zone... as I did
and as Danny seems not to trust.
Then you'll have to build a new one at the new spot you want.
There's a lot of API macros to create beacons.
