Google Earth in NZ is poor quality eg Christchurch, Picton and Greymouth.

Are there any other similar sites?

Alot of the earth has poor coverage on most of these programs, for instance
London UK has really only just been coverd in the last year or so. However
if you go to a war zone, like Iraq or Afganistan, you can see
everything..... (except WMD)

Yeah, NZ coverage seems to be restricted to the Auckland North Shore and
Blenheim, coincidentally both have spy bases...
Land Information have a collection of aerial images online, not much of the
country covered, and some of it is old (black and white) but good enough to
find your house if you squint. No fancy online viewer though:

Adam..

That really isn't funny.

On CNN yesterday it was reported that even the Iraq Senior Military
personal had no idea all the WMD's were shipped out of Iraq 3 months
before the war. The Iraqi Generals were prepared to use them. So I would
hesitate to blame Bush for believing they still had the weapons.

Listen *XXXXXXX*. I have to spend most of my time in the house and take
pain medication that doesn't work because of Sarin Gas that I flew
through during Desert Storm. The same gas that people like to say
doesn't exist. I'm tired of you *XXXXing Assholes* that try to tell the
world how smart you are and that you personally know there's no WMD when
your head is so far up your XXX you fart through your nose.

So ve5 whatever, just keep on with your horseshit, you XXXXing Idiot....

i wasnt being serious, i 100% supported the war, and i dont really care if
WMD's was found or not. It was more a joke linked to the fact that AU and NZ
have virtualy no high res sat images where as every inch of sand in Iraq is
detailed and named....

Thanks Adam..... I seem to see things differently than most people do
as time goes on.

I know where you are coming from Bob. When you are in the military you serve
your best and obey orders. Plus you must believe in what you are doing when
you are asked to kill people. But as a small cog in such big wheels we never
really know if our country is truly doing the right thing.

This week a very brave and experienced SAS sergeant has just resigned from
the British Army because he disagreed with what he saw in Iraq. He fully
expected to be court martialled and dismissed in disgrace. In fact, he has
left with an an excellent record from his CO and the Ministry of Defence. It
make you think, especially as an ex-serviceman myself.
