I was in Seattle when this happened. the pilot aboard the aircraft was
hotdogging it, and trying to do or doing loops, exceeding the aircraft to
it's extremes and apparently lost control and it crashed near or into the
fuel tanks on the base.
The base commander at Fairchild might ahve got courts martialed over it,
andyways he was reassigned.
he was blamed for the whole thing, for letting it happen.
