A unexpected byproduct has been found with Ground Enviornment - the autogen
goes on steriods!
They're aware of the problem, and a fix is forthcoming, but it does add some
amusing effects, like:

http://members.cox.net/drpics/gaston%20ge.jpg

It dramatically improves the overall texture, as shown, so when the autogen
regains contol, it'll be great..

Top shot is older (little rough due to being enlarged) and white arrow
points to the only buildings that should be noticeable at my favorite little
grass strip, Gastons 3M0. A restaurant hangs out over the river, and
there's cabins (although FS has always showed them as hangers for the
trout fishermen, plus a few houses along the river and bluffs.
GE superautogen added Manhattan to a sand bar in the White River, along with
a half dozen dense high rise projects scattered around the hills, and this
is out in the boon docks!! d:-> ))

BTW - this was pointed out several weeks back, if you want a thrill, land a
amphibian in the river near the restaurant!!!! Fun & Games!!!

Cheers'n Beers.. [_])

I've been told that the patch should be out today

Gotta wonder how something like that passed the beta test period.

My thoughts exactly...... It's not like an Easter egg you have to go out
and look for!

Peter, I have written and rewritten a response to this three times now.
Every time I do, the explanation sounds like an excuse. Let me try one
more time.

Autogen is added after the texture designs have been finalized, so it's
one of the last things to get tested. If the testing period had been
prolonged, it's something we might have caught. Or, we might all have
succumbed to group-think and accepted it as a kind of hyper-realism.
I'm honestly not sure which.
