FSX Install Problem

| Stops installing at Disk 2. Keeps telling me to insert Disk 2 after I put it
in and hit OK. Tried doing the install on the kids computer and it worked
fine. So Disk 2 is ok. Any thoughts?

I think Katy suggested turning off firewalls?

| About a year old with the latest firmware installed. Also, I pulled the DVD
from my kids computer that did actually load it on their computer and put it
in mine and it still crapped out at Disk 2.

Faulty memory? I once had what turned out to be a faulty memory stick which
only showed up during installs. Just a thought.

| Well I got it to install by copying both CDs to a Temp folder and then
installed from the hard drive. It appears that when I installed disk 2 in,
the DVD player would not update the disk info and so it thought Disk 2 was
still not in there. So it appears to be a problem with the disk info not
updating during disk swapouts.

There is a common theme here....I've seen this "hung/crashed on Disk
#2" line from at least half a dozen people.
