There's a great FAQ over at flightsim.com that explains this and a
whole lot else -- highly recommended.

Edit the PAN RATE figure in FS9.cfg. Default is 400 I changed it to 700
before buying the great Active Camera instead.

Where might I find FS9.cfg. I did a search for it last night and came up
empty.

If searching you need to select 'Display System or Hidden Files' or
something like that. It can be found manually at C:\documents and
settings\YOUR LOGON NAME\application data\microsoft\FS9. Make a backup
before editing anything. CFG file can be opened in Wordpad.
