| Anyone know of a website that can be used to find places that are
interesting, weather-wise?

Yup.
This one will show you real-time anywhere in the world.

I usually click Water Vapor, Full Disk, 8 Animation. The various satellites
are listed at the top.

There was a website devoted to sim enthusiasts that showed the top twenty
or so airports with the most challenging current weather. I am searching
Google now for it but not having any luck.
Perhaps someone else will remember the website.
