| I've posted a couple of times about this product since it was bought for me
at xmas. I didn't spend much time with it between Dec and Feb but decided
that was a waste and have been buzzing around in it recently.
After finding out how to fly it from a number of tutorials it's actually
very nice. I don't know how technically accurate it is (flight model wise),
however it's nice to fly and has hundreds of instruments to play with.
Now I've got the hang of it I can manually control it like a Boeing. I have
only just come to the last conclusion after a number of flights. I have
also done a number of manual landings which is very satisfying as the thing
comes in at a heck of an attack angle. I just did a circuit at Grantley
Adams which doesn't have ILS so I landed using the VASI lights :-))))).
I'm currently flying it with the virtual flight engineer (A software feature
to reduce sim pilot workload which is an optional setting) who does all the
fuel shifting, however for the technically interested you can do all that as
well. Unlike the 747-400 which you can fly with your feet up for hours over
the Atlantic, this could keep you quite involved most of the time if that's
what you wanted, especially given the 3.5 hour flight compared with
......hours of the slow stuff. Although I normally fly the bigger stuff, I
rarely do long haul because it bores me. With this beauty I reckon I can go
all over the world and enjoy it, especially at Mach II.
Just a few thought on £20 well spent.
Regards
Geoff
