Last night boB and I were treated to a good old fashion Texas spring
thunderstorm and he asked me how it was:

I was up late (2:30am) and heard the storms coming. I decide to start a
flight down around where boB lives near Waco. As the thunderstorms started
in FS9, the thunderstorms started here for real. Suddenly, I was taxiing in
driving rain with thunder and lighting bolts flashing all around while
outside my window there was driving rain and thunder and lighting bolts
flashing in the dark office.

Ya had to be there... The only thing missing was Wagner's "Flight of the
Valkyries" playing in the background. :-)

....and perhaps a madman in a white lab coat screaming: "LIVE...I COMMAND YOU
TO LIVE!!!" while a hunchback in the corner keeps flipping the light
switches on and off?

It's times like this that we have a german bed, which is larger than our
king size beds here in the states. It's big enough to hold 3 or 4
scared German Shepherds until the storm passes.

Hi Downloader,

Nifty site, mate.

I can't wait for Bill Leaming's Cirrus to be released, with its
fantastic cockpit and guages!

Hi Dallas,

'I was up late (2:30am)"

Or up early, depending on which way you look at things.:-)

Sounds a bit like the storms in Darwin in the Monsoon season - fair
dinkum, you'd swear that mortars were going off all around you, and the
lightning is just spectacular.

They often last for hours.

Makes me really admire those early settlers who were up there without
houses, electricity, air conditioning, local knowledge, supermarkets, postal
services, phones, computers and the Web, etc, etc, etc.........

Often 35*C and extremely high humidity for weeks, if not months, on end.

Gimme a break... it's all green... nothing like last night. You're just
gonna get your lawn watered.

My radar shows one little nasty one heading towards me.

The people in the rest of the nation can't believe we're getting spring
thunderstorms already in February... while they gas up their snow blowers.
:-)
